SCUM Server Rules

SERVER RULES

Our rules are designed to keep the server competitive, fair, and enjoyable. Please read them before playing. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for violating them.

1. GENERAL CONDUCT

1.1 Respect Other Players

  • Harassment, threats, discrimination, hate speech, or excessive toxicity will not be tolerated.
  • Friendly trash talk is acceptable. Personal attacks are not.

1.2 Exploits and Glitches

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics.
  • Using terrain, structures, vehicles, or game systems in ways not intended by the developers to gain an unfair advantage.
  • Glitching through walls, doors, bases, or other structures.
  • Duping items or currency.
  • Using cheats, hacks, ESP, aimbots, or third-party software that provides an unfair advantage.

Punishment may include suspension or permanent ban depending on the severity of the offense.

1.3 Reporting Violations

  • Report suspected rule violations through Discord.
  • Do not engage in public arguments regarding rule enforcement.

1.4 Knowledge of the Rules

  • Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.
  • By playing on this server, you agree to abide by all server rules and administrative decisions.

2. PvP RULES

2.1 PvP

  • PvP is allowed throughout the map unless otherwise specified.

2.2 Kill On Sight (KOS)

  • KOS is allowed.

2.3 Combat Logging

  • Logging out to avoid PvP, raids, capture, or death is prohibited.

2.4 Safe Zone Camping

  • Camping traders, safe zones, or their immediate surroundings for easy kills is prohibited.
  • Administrators will determine whether a player is engaging in normal PvP or intentionally camping protected areas.

3. RAIDING & OFFLINE RAID PROTECTION

3.1 Raid Availability

  • Base raiding is permitted 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

3.2 Offline Raid Protection (ORP)

  • ORP activates 30 minutes after the last member of a squad logs off.
  • While ORP is active, bases may not be raided or damaged by other players.
  • ORP remains active for a maximum of 12 hours.

3.3 ORP Expiration

  • If no squad member logs into the server for 12 consecutive hours, ORP expires automatically.
  • Once ORP expires, the base becomes raidable until a squad member returns and the 30-minute ORP timer is re-established.

3.4 ORP Abuse

The following is prohibited:

  • Exploiting ORP mechanics to gain an unfair advantage.

3.5 Base Wiping

  • Base wiping is prohibited.
  • Raids are intended for obtaining loot, vehicles, and resources.
  • Destroying a base solely to remove another player or squad from the server is considered griefing.

3.6 Loot Griefing

The following are prohibited:

  • Removing loot from containers solely to dump it on the ground.
  • Intentionally causing loot to despawn.
  • Destroying storage containers solely to deny loot to other players.

4. BUILDING & BASE MAINTENANCE

4.1 Restricted Build Areas

Building is prohibited:

  • Inside bunkers.
  • Inside trader safe zones.
  • Inside event areas.
  • In any location that blocks intended game content or player access.

4.2 Flag Limits

  • Each player or squad may own a maximum of two flags.
  • Any flags, bases, or structures exceeding the two-flag limit may be removed by administrators without warning or compensation.

4.3 Questionable Build Locations

  • If you are unsure whether a location is allowed, contact an administrator before building.
  • “I didn’t know” will not be accepted as an excuse after construction has begun.

4.4 Administrative Removal

  • Structures built in prohibited areas may be removed without warning or compensation.
  • Bases exceeding the two-flag limit may be destroyed without compensation.

4.5 Abandoned Bases

  • Bases whose owner or squad members have not logged into the server for 10 consecutive days may be considered abandoned.
  • Bases with one or more base-building elements below 40% health may be considered abandoned, regardless of player activity.
  • Players are responsible for maintaining their bases by repairing their flag and associated structures regularly.
  • Base maintenance can be performed by using a toolbox on the flag to repair eligible structures within the flag area.
  • Abandoned bases, flags, structures, and associated vehicles may be removed by administrators or by the game automatically without warning or compensation.

5. MINES & TRAPS

5.1 Allowed Mine Placement

  • Mines and traps may only be placed within your flag area.

5.2 Prohibited Mine Placement

Mines and traps are prohibited:

  • On roads.
  • On runways.
  • At traders.
  • At event locations.
  • At bunker entrances.
  • In any location intended solely to create unavoidable player deaths.

5.3 Flag Area Exception

  • Roads and runways remain protected areas even if they pass through your flag zone.
  • A flag does not grant permission to place mines or traps on roads or runways.

6. VEHICLES

6.1 Vehicle Ownership

  • Vehicles may be stolen as part of normal gameplay.

6.2 Vehicle Destruction

  • Destroying vehicles solely to grief another player is prohibited.

6.3 Vehicle Limits

Each squad member is entitled to:

  • One car
  • One motorcycle
  • One boat
  • One aircraft

Maximum vehicles per player:

  • 1 Car
  • 1 Motorcycle
  • 1 Boat
  • 1 Aircraft

Regardless of squad size, maximum vehicles per squad:

  • 4 Cars
  • 4 Motorcycles
  • 4 Boats
  • 4 Aircraft

6.4 Excess Vehicles

  • Vehicles exceeding allowed limits may be removed by administrators without compensation.

6.5 Inactive Vehicles

  • Unused or abandoned vehicles will be removed after 10 days of inactivity during routine server maintenance.
  • Make sure to get in and start your vehicles at least once every 10 days.
  • Vehicles exceeding time limits will be removed by system maintenance without compensation.

7. EVENTS

7.1 Event Participation

  • Follow event-specific rules announced by administrators.

7.2 Event Interference

  • Interfering with official server events without participating is prohibited.

8. ADMINISTRATION

8.1 Administrative Discretion

  • Not every situation can be covered by written rules.
  • Administrators reserve the right to make decisions in the best interest of the server and community.
  • Attempting to exploit loopholes in the rules or intentionally circumvent their spirit may result in administrative action.

8.2 Rule Interpretation

  • Administrators have final discretion regarding the interpretation and enforcement of server rules.
  • Administrative decisions may be appealed through the appropriate Discord channels but must be respected while under review.

8.3 Evidence

  • Screenshots, videos, server logs, and administrator observations may be used when making decisions.

9. PUNISHMENT GUIDELINES

9.1 Minor Violations

  • Warning.
  • Temporary punishment.
  • Removal of offending structures, vehicles, or items.

9.2 Repeated Violations

  • Temporary suspension.

9.3 Severe Violations

  • Immediate ban.

9.4 Cheating

The following offenses will normally result in a permanent ban:

  • Cheating.
  • Hacking.
  • Duping.
  • Exploit abuse.
  • Use of third-party software that provides an unfair advantage.
